Evaluation Q.3/4: What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? How will you attract.addresds your audience?
This is a video which i posted from Youtube. The film is a hit with 11,705 views which shows that it appealed to the intended audience. The film clearly shows that low-budget films can achieve some sort of success if executed correctly. In addition, with the limited use of special effects in the film, and obviously the low budget it is even harder to make it a success.
Working Title 2 would be the perfect company to distribute our film. Youtube would be one of our main source of promotion. This is used by millions everyday so we have a high possibility of attaining hits. Moreover, websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Myspace etc. Are very popular amongst our target audience: Teenagers. These would be the other main source of promotion for our Thriller Movie.

question 3&4
question 5
Due to her exceptional organisation and leadership skills, she has already been promoted to assistant manager of the organisation for Talented Teenagers Youth Centre. She has an interest in thriller films, particularly psychological and crime thrillers. She enjoys these particular thrillers as it often contains complex storylines which require concentration to understand and also creates suspense. Jen often carries her off the shoulder big bag which she takes with her to work and university. In her bag the following was found: Chanel Chance Perfume, Vaseline, Dior Lip-Gloss, black ‘Stop Knife Crime’ wrists band, keys for Golf GTI, a Oyster card, DVD’s of the films ‘Save The Last Dance’, ‘Devil wears Prada’ and ‘The Ring’, a student ID card, a book called ‘The Child Called It’, a notepad with her drawn chorography’s, mint flavour chewing-gum, a white iPhone with a see-through case, sketched pictures of designer trousers and tops for young women, a set of black and white Adidas tracksuits and a plain t-shirt with black Adidas trainers, a purse that includes two different debit cards from two different banks, Lloyd's TSB and HSBC, a Halifax savings account card, a picture of her boyfriend and younger brother, receipts from Top Shop, River Island and Selfridges with £120 cash.
5) Who would be the audience for your media product?
Our main target audience for 'Ebony Stone' would be the teenage group. Since our film already includes teenagers, this would appeal to them becasue there is nothing unusual or new unlike other films which would include adults. Moreover, a lifestyle summary of a typical teenager could be someone like Lewis. He is a London based sixth-former who enjoys nothing more than hanging out with his mates and having a laugh by going places of interest such as cinemas, bowling alleys, West End etc. He owns a Blackberry phone which is very very popular amongst teenagers at the moment and is seen as a fashion now. He has an oyster card to get around places but mainly from home to college. On the way, he listens to his iPod which is filled with Grime, Hip-Hop, Slow-jams. Being amongst the ladies, he needs his breath to be smelling fresh so he always carries a packet of Extra Freegum. Keys he requires to get home (especially after a long night out), and his cash and cards are stashed in his Wallet.
Q2 representation
STONE
The first still is an image of 'Stone' representing the early youth steroetype of teenage boys in London. Some elements of Mise En Scene was used to portray this clearly to the audience. Examples such as his costume being based around the design of a 'Thug'; hoodies, tracksuits and baggy clothes, represents his Ghetto and mentally depressed character. His 'Stone' tatoo on his neck also shows that he is known by a nick name rather than his real name which therfore expresses his rebellious lifestyle. The character 'Stone' is similar to the chatacter 'Jay' in Adulthood. They both have similar lifestyles trapped within the 'Gutter'
The second still is an image of 'Ebony' which is a typical stereotype of a girl from an upper-class rich background being interested in her education and family. She has a highly represented status compared to Stone and is able to handle almost every situation with her money. Ebony being a very passive and warm hearted girl is almost gullible to everything. Mise En Scene elements such as her designer Gucci bag and her sense of fashion shows that she is a young girl that doesn't really understand a world which is different from hers and therefore struggles to socialise with people that are not up to her standards.

Evaluation Q.5 Who would be the audience for your media product?
Evaluation Q.7 Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
The match cut preliminary task also involved an over the shoulder shot however we found that there was too much empty space in the frame. In addition, our final production, there was another over the shoulder shot which was very similar to our preliminary task. But now, we made sure the frame was equal and there was no empty spaces, and the intention was focused on what was happening.

Evaluation Q3 & 4 What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? How will you attract/address your audience?
This is a video I retrieved from Youtube of which was posted by As media students. This video was watched by 2,304 people which shows that this film appealed to an audience. This shows that low budget films can be successful and entertaining with limited technology and the use of special effects. The best thing about this video is the soundtrack and the lighting which has a dark setting.
For our film I think it would will be most appropiate for a company such as Working Title 2 to distribute our film as they are a low budget British organisation.
We would like our thriller to be promoted through sites such as Youtube. As a lot of people go on it this would be the best and easiest way to be promoted as will get a wide audience and it can become successful in a short amount of time. People on Youtube can also give their comments and feedback. As it is a low budget student video I believe that the internet is the best way to promote sites such as Myspace, Facebook, Twitter and other blogging sites would be a good way for an audience to watch our video. As the majority of young people use these sites it would attract our age group. Ebony Stone will get a cinematic screening.

EVALUATION: 2) How does your media product represent paricular social groups?
One of the two main characters named 'Stone' is a typical street thug who is mentally depressed at the fact that he has been left by his girlfreind Ebony, of whom he has an extreme obsession over. The character's costume consists of hoodies and tracksuits which is typical of a majority of teenagers growing up in London. He is seen during the opening rolling a rizla and has a cigarette on his ear; depicting that he is a heavy smoker.
Stone could be compared to one of the characters of the movie 'Adulthood'. His name is Jay, played by Adam Deacon. He is a rebellious character who is out for revenge against another character, the costume that he wears is a direct portryal of our character Stone and his body language is very similar.
Evaluation Q.2 How does your media product represent particular social groups?
Our inspiration has come from the film Adulthood as the character Stone in our film is represented to be like the charactor 'Jay' in Adulthood. The similiararities between these two characters are their costume as they both where street clothing eg hoodies, tracksuits both portrayed to be a bad boy character. He is a stereo typical teenage boy from London from the 'ghetto'. They both have similiar lifestyles. His 'Stone' tattoo on his neck shows that they call him by a nickname rather than his own name this represents the youth. 'Stone' is a direct portrayal of Jay.
The character Ebony is a teenage girl who is family orientated and is down to earth. She is similiar attributes to Joy Bryant; star of the film 'Get rich or die tryin'.
